In 2012, Thabelo, then jobless, posted what he thought was an innocent photo of his modest home. In the pic, he was standing beside his friend’s small car, which he had just washed.
In a TikTok post, Thabelo explained that after posting the photo, a woman went to the comments and mocked him, wondering why he had such a modest home.
Her comment shamed and hurt him, but instead of replying to her, he said he took it to God in prayer.

“I posted an innocent photo of me standing next to my friend’s car, @gidzhanamashudu, who came to visit me, and I offered to wash his car as I had no car and I was unemployed. Her comment hit me deeply. I didn’t reply to the comment. I took the screenshot to God.”
13 years later: Thabelo returns to respond to troll
However, thirteen years later, the man is now back to respond to the criticism.
In his post, he shared a screenshot of the ridicule he got from the woman, and even unleashed her photos and name, seemingly now addressing her.
He shared a photo of the mansion and fancy car he has since upgraded to after leaving the tiny house.
Netizens were impressed by the comeback, with many amazed by how he made it his personal mission to be successful; many also urged other social media haters to learn from Thabelo.

“There is this guy who likes to do videos; he lives in a shack, so this other lady commented that he must buy cement with the money he spends on clothes. And he responded and said I am not working, even these clothes. I pray for him every day; it is like that lady was talking to me. Even on this post, I am wishing the same for that stranger.”
