As Kenyans await the record to be ratified by the Guinness World Records, many have shown their support and hailed her efforts in promoting environmental conservation and fighting deforestation.
Muthoni, on December 10, broke her own record of hugging a tree non-stop for 48 hours. She took on the challenge to raise awareness about environmental conservation, climate change, and the fight against deforestation.
During the challenge, she honoured people living with disabilities by being blindfolded.
After achieving the new record on December 11, Truphena was rushed to the hospital by her family and a few prominent figures from Nyeri.

Why was Truphena Rushed to the hospital?
In a video, the young woman was captured lying inside an ambulance, frail and exhausted after standing non-stop while hugging a tree for three days.
Among those who organised her hospital visit was businesswoman Muthoni Kirumba, famously known as Baby Top.
Having been standing for 72 hours straight without food or water, Truphena had to be taken in for a medical evaluation and check-up.
“This was just a procedure to ensure she’s in good health before proceeding with any other activities related to her cause, including eating,” said her family.
Images shared from the hospital showed her smiling but visibly tired and sleepy, alongside Baby Top, who had earlier promised to deliver a KSh 1 million gift from OdiBets.
