Kalenjin musician Vicky Brilliance has reacted after Keiyo South MP Gideon Kimaiyo leaked her number online.

Brilliance responded after the MP leaked their chats on social media and shared her number for her to receive ‘greetings’.
What happened between Brilliance and MP?
The MP had accused her of failing to perform even after he sent her a deposit of KSh 50,000.
The musician noted that Kimaiyo sharing her number was a breach of privacy, and he should have known better as a lawmaker.
“Good evening, Hon Kimaiyo. I’m shocked and disappointed that you’d resort to using my personal data to gain followers. Sharing my number online is a clear breach of my privacy, and as a lawmaker, you should know better,” she said.
She claimed that the MP was clout chasing with her name, as she had informed him that her team was handling the matter.
“I had already informed you that my team was handling the issue since I had shows back to back, and I’m sure it has already been deposited before you even started clout chasing with my name. Your actions have not only breached my privacy but also caused inconvenience to my brand.”
She claimed that they had agreed she would refund the money and added that she was receiving death threats from people close to the MP.
“Posting my contacts online is a clear breach of my right to privacy and data protection. My contacts are personal data, and there’s no justification for displaying them publicly. We had agreed on a refund, so why didn’t you communicate directly with my management for the details? Did you even send the money to my number? Can you prove it was for the show, or were you trying to achieve something?”
The Kalenjin star also alleged that she was receiving death threats from people associated with the politician.
“I’m also receiving death threats from people associated with you. Let me be clear: if anything happens to me or my loved ones, you will be held accountable, Kimaiyo. As a well-renowned artist with significant influence in the music industry, I’m proud of my achievements, including being one of the most streamed female artists in Kenya. Your actions seem intended to ridicule and damage my brand. The proper legal recourse would’ve been to consult a lawyer or approach the small claims court. Instead, you took matters into your own hands,” she said.

Brilliance threatened to take action against him.
“Now, prepare to pay damages, Hon Kimaiyo. I apologise to my loyal supporters for the drama, and I appreciate your continued love and support. Mama Wayne is bigger than this, and I’ll continue to bring the heat with more banger hits. Keiyo South, I love you all! Let’s keep the focus on the music and the positive vibes,” she said.
