The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) has advertised managerial positions for professionals with expertise in various fields.

KEBS announced the job vacancies in an advertisement published in the government newspaper MyGov on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
The government organisation was established by the Standards Act, Cap 496 of the laws of Kenya, in July 1974

KEBS’s mission is to provide metrology, standardisation, and conformity assessment services by promoting industry and commercial standardisation and providing testing and calibration facilities.

What is the application process for KEBS jobs?
The government agency asked interested and qualified candidates to submit their academic and professional certificates online through the KEBS career portal.
It asked suitable individuals to apply for the vacant positions by Tuesday, January 6, 2025.
“Applications shall be submitted online through the KEBS career portal and must be received on or before Tuesday, January 6, 2026. All testimonials must be saved starting with the applicant’s national identification number and submitted with the application,” it explained.

Career development associate Simon Ingari noted that government jobs attract hundreds of applicants.

As such, he advised job seekers to ensure that their applications are error-free.
“Proofread everything. Spelling and formatting issues are instant red flags in highly competitive institutions,” he told TUKO.co.ke.
He also recommended that professionals should track their applications.
“Maintain a simple spreadsheet or notebook listing where and when you applied, deadlines, and follow-up dates,” he added.

What should Kenyans note about KEBs jobs?
- The applicant will receive a system-generated email message confirming that the job application details have been successfully submitted when the application has been successfully uploaded and submitted
- There are no fees associated with the hiring process at KEBS.
- Women and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
- Only those who have been shortlisted will be contacted.
- You will be automatically disqualified if you canvass.
- Successful candidates must comply with Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Which jobs did NYS advertise?
In other job-related news, the National Youth Service (NYS) advertised 410 vacancies for Kenyan men seeking employment opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
The positions, which provide two-year renewable contracts, target skilled logistics and retail artisans.
It is part of the NYS Employment Liaison Linkages programme.
