Socialite Amber Ray has taken Kenyans aback after sharing the rent she pays for her Syokimau house, as well as her monthly budget.

The mother of two is vocal about loving the finer things in life and her dislike of broke men.
She previously gave fans a glimpse of her home in Syokimau, highlighting her backyard kitchen garden.
How much rent does Amber Ray pay?
She grows crops such as Sukuma wiki, onions, and spinach, with her daughter, Africanah, helping with planting and watering.
The garden is enclosed by a white picket fence, and the property also hosts chickens.
The surrounding neighbourhood features modern two-storey homes with neat gardens.
In an interview with Billy Miya and Mbaruk on Radio 47, Amber shared the eye-popping amount of money she spends in a month.
“My budget is KSh 1.5 million, just to be on the safe side,” she said.
The hosts exclaimed as they were taken aback by the sum.
“Let me ask you, how much is your rent?” Billy then asked her.
“KSh 350,000,” she said.
Billy once again exclaimed and then asked Amber why she can’t build a house, given the steep rent she pays.
“That is where we are headed—we want to build our dream house. You struggle to look for money; why not enjoy life?
We decided that as long as we are living in Nairobi, we will stay in a place that makes us feel happy.”
Amber noted that they would not live there forever and would eventually move into their own home.
Kenyans were shocked by the rent, with some sharing alternatives for home ownership.
