A cab driver who was seen being harassed and assaulted by drunk women in a heartbreaking video has finally broken his silence and shared how he felt during the ordeal.
While speaking on Kakajtv, the cab driver said that the guy who had requested him was at Black Samurai, and he came to the car; they were waiting for his friend to come when the girls came down and opened the car. One sat in front, and the other found the back seat was already occupied.
“She told the man to alight as his car was bigger, which was ideal for the four of them, and theirs was very small. I told them I can’t cancel the trip as I had already started it. The client closed the door, and the lady was hit by the door; she went to the wiper of the boot and broke it,” said the driver.
“I went around the car to see what was happening, and that’s when her friends came and started hitting me, and they really beat me. One of them went to take my phone, and the other one yanked off the mirror, but I just stayed cool because I didn’t want to fight with a woman. I just held the one who had broken the side mirror,” he added.

According to the driver, there were many other people who wanted to beat the women, but he told them not to do it, as the problem would fall onto his shoulders. A man who saw the incident went to get the cops, and the ladies were arrested.
The cab driver also went to report the matter, and the next morning, a female officer from Kilimani Police Station took him to the gender office and asked him for evidence.
“I told them that I didn’t have it; I didn’t know people had taken these videos,” he said.
“They asked for a witness, and I told them I have to go to the place and look for one; they told me they could not keep people in custody for more than 24 hours,” he added.
Nairobi County Communications Executive Geoffrey Mosiria has, however, vowed to seek justice for the man who cannot work because of the incident.
