The 41‑year‑old relative worked at an entertainment joint in Machakos Town as a bouncer, and the incident occurred very early on Thursday morning, December 25.
It emerged that the victim took four bullets to his body during the confrontation and died on the spot. According to Machakos Town Sub-County Detective of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Nzyoka Singi, the fight began when the bouncer allegedly used a lot of force to eject a woman accompanying the suspect.

That prompted the suspect to draw a gun and fatally shoot him. Police recovered a pistol and 12 rounds of ammunition at the scene from the licensed firearm holder.
The couple was arrested, and investigations are ongoing. The deceased’s body was moved to the mortuary.
“When we arrived, we found that the owner of the bar had written a statement, but we weren’t allowed to write anything. We then called the DCI officer, but he said he was in church,” said the pained family member.
“We have heard rumours that the person who committed the crime is a police officer and are asking the police and IPOA to handle the matter because there is something being hidden. We want justice. The body is lying at the mortuary, and we need to take it to a better facility,” he added.
