How long did Willis Raburu and Marya’s divorce take?
In an interview with the Iko Nini podcast, she shared that she did not agree with the grounds Raburu shared to end their marriage and filed another divorce petition.
“Ours was messy because we did another one where I was the petitioner. Because I did not agree with his grounds for divorce. I had my own grounds. My grounds were on infidelity. I feel the grounds are very important. You should not just agree because you want the divorce. Yes, I know I want the divorce, but you see, for him, he was saying irreconcilable differences and lack of conjugal rights. But I also had a lack of conjugal rights; we were separated. So you go fight for it. It can be very long,” she said.
According to Marya, some people take a long time to end their marriage because of the issue of the division of property and child custody battles.
