KRA announced the vacant positions in an advertisement published in the Government Advertising Agency, MyGov, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Which jobs did KRA advertise?

The positions are deputy commissioner (audit & risk) and deputy commissioner (international tax) on a five-year renewable contract, subject to performance and retirement age.

The government’s principal revenue collector asked interested and qualified candidates to submit their applications through the PKF recruitment portal.

What are the requirements for deputy commissioner, audit and risk?

The position holder will be in charge of leading and managing audit and risk programmes in accordance with tax law, policies, and procedures in order to improve tax compliance and ensure accurate reporting.

Requirements:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in relevant social sciences, business or pure and applied sciences from a reputable and approved university.
  2. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline from a reputable and authorised institution will be an added advantage.
  3. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required, with at least five years spent in senior and/or middle management.
  4. Professional qualifications and current membership in a relevant professional body
  5. Candidates must comply with Chapter Six of the 2010 Constitution.
