The family and friends of former Miss Tourism, Lilian Musau, are mourning the loss of a woman remembered for her grace, resilience and warmth, following her death on the evening of January 27.

Lilian passed away at 7pm after spending a month in hospital, where she had been receiving treatment for illness.
How Lilian Musau died
According to a post shared by Adrian Chege, she faced her final weeks with courage and faith and died peacefully.
In a statement released on behalf of the Musau family, her brother Steve Musau described her passing as a painful loss, but one tempered by spiritual comfort.
“Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort knowing she is now at eternal rest,” the family said, noting their belief that she is now in God’s presence.
During her hospital stay, well-wishers rallied around the family, offering prayers, blood donations and financial support.
The family has expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood with them during the difficult period.
“We sincerely thank everyone for the prayers, blood donations, financial support, and love shown to our family during this trying time,” the statement read.

Burial arrangements are currently being finalised, with the service expected to take place on either February 3 or 4. The final date will be communicated once confirmed.
As the family prepares to lay her to rest, they have appealed for continued prayers and support.
