Bernard Musyoki is a troubled man. His Mzungu wife, Deborah Jan Spicer, has been hospitalised in the United States for a while now.

The Kenyan man, whose wife is twice his age, revealed that he had been denied visa to the US to visit his soulmate since their wedding.
The lovebirds met on Facebook in 2017, and Musyoki revealed he first applied for a US visa in 2018, and in early 2020, but all got denied.
The lovebirds met in person on December 20, 2020, and tied the knot on February 2, 2021, in Nairobi, Kenya.

Despite living on two different continents, the lovebirds are madly in love and always pamper each other with love.
“I sent her a friend request, after a week, I asked her to marry me, and she accepted. We even exchanged vows inbox,” he previously shared.
What is Kenyan man’s Mzungu wife ailing from?
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Musyoki revealed that his wife has been hospitalised after testing positive for COVID-19 again.
“She tested positive for COVID-19 again and one of her lungs is really damaged after fighting pneumonia for a long time,” Musyoki said.
The worried husband appealed to the government of Kenya to help him secure a US visa so he could visit his ailing wife and care for her. He applied for a third visa recently but was denied.
“I have been denied US visa three times. It is so frustrating, and I want to travel to be with my wife. I’m pleading with the government to do something,” he added.
Taking to Facebook, Musyoki shared photos of Deborah on a hospital bed and captioned it:
“My mwende is in critical care in hospital, but I can’t be with her. This is even after being legally married for over five years…so sad that she can’t even travel…what a world,” he wrote.
In January 2025, Musyoki’s wife was hospitalised again for weeks after undergoing heart surgery in the US, but unfortunately, he couldn’t travel to care for her. The Kenyan man who recently joined politics unsuccessfully pleaded with the government to help him secure a visa to the US.

In a previous interview with TUKO.co.ke, Musyoki disclosed that he paid KSh 100 for his Mzungu wife’s dowry.
The Kenyan man revealed that Deborah’s parents are late, and he negotiated for dowry payment with her and her children. He revealed that Deborah’s two grown children told him to pay KSh 100 and asked him to take it to church as an offering.
