Nominated senator Karen Nyamu was visibly upset after running into a rowdy crowd.

The politician was in Kasarani constituency for the Panga Kanairo Mtaani edition, where she engaged constituents at the grassroots level.
During the meeting, Karen joined Gen Z on the dance floor. They showered her with trendy dance styles, and she did not disappoint.
She later asked the DJ to play music and urged the youths to join her on the podium, and they happily took snaps with her.

What happened to Nyamu in Kasarani?
Nyamu was seen interacting with the constituents in the video before things went left later on.
In her speech, Nyamu thanked Kasarani constituents for answering her call.
“Kasarani, thank you so much for coming. I am Karen Nyamu, and I want to thank you for accepting my call. I hear that many came here more than even those we mobilised. I made an order when I heard there are extras that everyone will get food because you have been with me as a mum, I don’t choose, everyone must get food,” she said.
She got emotional in her speech and stopped midway to wipe away her tears. Nyamu assured the crowd that she was okay and a lion at heart.
“I am okay. I am a lion. My tears are always near, and my mum used to chide me, telling me that people will laugh at me for always crying. My heart is so easy. Thank you, we don’t take it for granted that this church embraced us,” she said.
The politician revealed that she would visit all Nairobi constituencies to educate them.
“In senate you heard about the autism bill. Our kids who have autism do not have the means. Therapy is very expensive, and the government is there to make everyone’s life equal. I have recommended that all level 4 hospitals have an autism department,” she added.
Nyamu shared her 2027 ambitions to be the next Nairobi woman representative.
“In 2027, nataka mnipange. If you say governor, senate or woman rep, I will take any,” she said, and the crowd asked her to vie for the woman rep position.
A clip has surfaced on social media showing the nominated senator in a crowd pushing to get out. There was chaos as everyone was trying to access and take a selfie with her.
Nyamu was visibly upset as some took advantage of the situation to disrespect her. Some women held her by the stomach, pushing her back.
