The Arusha-based businessman who dealt in selling gold, among other minerals, was found dead on February 18, days after he went missing.

The beloved businessman and father of three was allegedly taken by unknown people on February 12, moments after leaving the gym.

His body was later discovered by the roadside in Bereko area, Kondoa, Dodoma, Tanzania.

According to the Dodoma Regional Police Commandery, Galus Hyera, they had received reports of Banjo’s death and had started investigations.

“It is true that we have received information, and we are continuing to work on it,” he said.

What did businessman Banjo’s son say after dad’s death?

Mussa Abdilah, while addressing the media from the scene where his father’s body was found dumped, narrated how he left home for the gym to train, but he never returned.

“We received a call after appealing for help to trace our father that there was a body of a man matching his description dumped in a thicket Bereko area, Kondoa. We went to check, and we positively identified him. He had severe injuries to his head, eyes and a broken arm. I’m so heartbroken. My dad’s life has been cut short by unknown people. They tortured him and dumped him in a thicket. He only had one shoe on and still had the clothes he had worn to the gym. He was a great, loving father and my best friend, and I will miss him. May God punish those who killed him,” he painfully narrated.
