A moment of chaos has erupted during Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna and his Linda Mwananchi team’s rally in Kakamega.

This came moments after a teargas cannister was allegedly deployed by the police just as Sifuna was starting his address at Amalemba Grounds.

Sifuna urged the residents to stay calm as he vowed they would not be forced to end their meeting as it happened in Kitengela.

“Hatutoroki leo! Zima hiyo kitu mkutano iendelee. Hatutoroki leo. Hatutoroki leo. Zima hiyo kitu. Funika na jacket. Mkutano lazima itaendelea. Tuendelee tusiendelee. Leo hatutoroki. Zima hiyo kitu. Mrudi! Leo hakuna mkutano inaisha. Haizwezekani. Piga ingine kama uko nayo. Hakuna mtu anaharibu huu mkutano leo. Mnaniona vizuri. Mimi ndio Sifuna!” the senator said.
