He was once hugely involved in the 2024 anti-government protests, which saw many fight for him when he was allegedly abducted.
When he defected to join Raila Odinga’s camp, he had an opportunity to work with the former prime minister and was seen at one point meeting President William Ruto.
At one point, in an interview following the death of Raila Odinga, Kasmuel described the former Prime Minister as a generous friend and mentor who frequently supported him financially without being asked.
Did Gen Zs chase Kasmuel McOure?
McOure revealed that the minimum amount he ever received from Raila was KSh 100,000, while the highest was approximately $8,000 (over KSh 1 million) during a trip to the United States.
He expressed deep gratitude for the personal mentorship and the doors the veteran politician opened for him before his passing.
In a video trending online, Kasmuel was seen being chased by an irritated crowd who called him a ‘traitor’ and refused to listen to him.
“Go home, leave this place. Do not come back. Go home, do not return,” said the young people.

What did Kamuel tell ODM leaders?
In a different report, Kasmuel warned ODM leaders against negotiating private deals with President Ruto ahead of the 2027 General Election.
He declared Senator Oburu Oginga as the OMD party’s sole legitimate presidential candidate and the only official with the constitutional authority to initiate political agreements.
The vibrant aspiring politician emphasised that Oburu is a definitive leader rather than a transitional figure, insisting that his word on the party’s direction is final.
His statement came amidst internal party tensions and opposition from figures like Governor James Orengo, who argued that partnering with the current administration would undermine ODM’s national appeal.
Orengo has teamed up with a few other ODM leaders, like Babu Owino and Edwin Sifuna, in campaigning under the tag Linda Mwananchi movement.
