“Oh God, I just killed him, oh God. The most hardworking woman on this earth is Mum, and I love her so much. I know you have been praying for me, but the devil took control,” reads part of her letter.

Claire claimed that killing her boyfriend was an accident, saying she had only been trying to defend herself. She revealed that the couple had been facing issues for about a year and mentioned joining a cult, which she blamed for their deaths.

According to her, their life had been fine until fate intervened. She apologised to her parents, to Kelvin, and to herself.

“I didn’t really mean to kill him. He was strangling me, and I tried to defend myself. I did not know it would reach this point. I am so sorry, and I regret what I did. We were never meant to kill each other; I was meant to die alone,” she wrote.

Claire also urged fellow youths and students to repent, warning about the dangers of cultism. She said she was only glad she would finally rest.

She further revealed that she had Kelvin’s equity card and pleaded for forgiveness from his parents and sisters, explaining that he had been possessed.
