His burial took place in Kipkebe, Silibwet Township Ward, Bomet county.

It was attended by several leaders, including Uasin Gishu senator Jackson Mandago, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, and Bomet women’s representative Linet Toto, among others.

The leaders noted that they had heard the cries of Kosgei’s father during the burial of Emurua Dikirr Johana Ng’eno.

The politician noted that she would help the young one through high school. One of Nick’s younger sisters is in form four.

She also thanked the planning committee for giving the victims of the crash a befitting send-off.

“To the family of Nick and all mourners, I also extend my condolences to you all. He was everyone’s friend, including mine. Nick, may God help you and keep your soul in a good place. I want the sister to come here. I hear she’s in form four. Where is she? I want to tell the planning committee, thank you. To the president for standing with the families.”

Toto thanked Sudi for offering to mentor artists and taking over from his beloved friend Ng’eno as their patron.

“Sudi, thank you for standing with the artistes just as Ng’eno did. You have a good heart, and we are going to help each other because you are the father of the artists,” she said.

The politician assured Nick’s family that their daughter would be in good hands.

“I saw that Nick was my age mate. For this girl, just leave her with me. I will help her study until she finishes form four. Let’s go over there so you can give me your details,” she added.

She recalled how hardworking he was and was heartbroken that he died just when things were looking up for him.
