Tusker FC has bolstered its senior squad with homegrown talent as striker David Polepole and defender George Odhiambo rise from the club’s youth setup. The move comes as part of the club’s ongoing commitment to nurturing local talent for the top-flight game.
Polepole, a dynamic striker known for his physicality and instinct in front of goal, has signed a three-year deal, while Odhiambo, a commanding centre-back with strong leadership qualities, penned a two-year contract. Both players were instrumental in the junior team’s recent success.
“The duo has impressed the technical bench with their dedication, skill, and consistency,” Tusker said in a club statement. “They’ve earned their place after a series of strong performances.”

Polepole scored 15 goals and provided 6 assists last season. He was rewarded with five senior team appearances, notching a goal and two assists before being sidelined by a groin injury.
“This is a big step for me,” said the 20-year-old. “I want to leave a mark. I’m motivated to win and grow with every match.”
A natural finisher, Polepole brings an aggressive forward presence and sees his promotion as both validation and a challenge to grow further.

George Odhiambo, who captained the junior side for two seasons, was praised for his defensive solidity and occasional attacking contributions—scoring 4 goals and adding 5 assists. He has already featured in three FKF Premier League matches, including tough fixtures against Gor Mahia and Kenya Police.
“Training with the senior team gave me confidence,” said Odhiambo. “Playing big matches showed me the level I need to reach.”
