Content creator 2mbili has opened up about his last conversation with Gengetone artiste Shalkido who died while undergoing treatment after an accident.

Shalkido was heading home from a show in Thika where he made an appearance and even performed one of his songs.
However, moments later, he was involved in a hit and run crash while riding his motorbike, and was rushed to hospital.
At the hospital, the doctors declared him brain dead even as they tried everything possible to save his life.
What did 2mbili and Shalkido talk about?
2mbili who went to see him at the ICU recalled what he saw even as he shared their last conversation before the fatal accident.
“I went to KU Referral Hospital at around 2, I went to see Shalkido and I met the family. I waited for like an hour and we were given the chance to go to the ICU to see him. But, before we saw him, the doctor gave us conditions and update of how he was doing. The way the doctors were talking to the father, grandmother, auntie and brothers they gave them options. They were like this guy cannot survive but again, if you want him to continue living, it is going to be expensive,” he said.
2mbili shared that before the tragic accident, he had promised to pay Shalkido’s rent and even fueled his motorbike once.

“The guy was not breathing, his heart was not working, there was no pulse in the body, the brain had failed and he had no any kind of sense. Kidneys had failed, and that is what the doctors had said. I saw him at the ICU and there was blood coming out of his ears, he had almost 100 pipes on him, and I just prayed to God to save him. But at the back of my mind, I also knew it was going to be hard,” he said.
How did Shalkido and 2mbili meet?
The Youtuber narrated that Shalkido used to come to his comedy show in uniform and he would ask him to return over the weekend.
He recalled visiting his new house that Obinna had rented for him and shared how excited the artiste was to get his life back on track.
“I told him I’ll pay his rent this month, and I even gave him shopping money for that week. He even came to my DM to appreciate,” he added.

How did Shalkido spend his last moments?
Elsewhere, YouTuber Oga Obinna shared a video detailing the last 30 minutes before Shalkido was hit as he rode his motorbike.
In the video, he was excited at the petrol station where Obinna fueled his motorbike before he said he was heading home.
He was happy narrating the events of the night performing and how he was picking up his life.
