The former Sailors Gang member passed away after a horrific accident along Thika Road.
What happened to Shalkido?
YouTuber Oga Obina broke the news about the musician’s deteriorating health in the hospital.
First responders had found the mugithi artiste lying lifeless on the road before rushing him to the hospital.
Obinna later revealed that the doctors had declared Shalkido brain-dead, leaving his fans devastated.
In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, his former band member, Peter Miracle Baby, revealed that Shalkido had passed away on Friday, October 7.
After Kenyans learned of his death, several people leaked screenshots of their last conversations, among them a blogger.
Baumbach and Shalkido chatted on TikTok, and he expressed his gratitude after she sent him some money.
“Mamaa well received, thank you so much. I will give you a shout-out in my next song. If you do not mind, you can give me your WhatsApp number I can send you a voice note. Thank you so much,” he wrote.

Baumbach added that one of her friends was trying to call him to purchase bags from him.
She also heartbreakingly noted that she felt sorry for Shalkido, who passed away when things were about to align for the good.
