The two-year-and-nine-month-old girl died on Saturday, October 4, after reportedly slipping from her father’s hands during a playful game at their home.

Was Machakos dad remorseful over his child’s death?

According to police reports, the father had been tossing the child in the air when she accidentally fell and sustained fatal injuries.

She was rushed to a nearby private hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Responding officers found the father visibly shaken, standing beside his daughter’s body.

Although he claimed the incident was accidental, authorities took him into custody on suspicion of murder as investigations continue.

The incident sparked widespread reactions from Kenyans who questioned the reasons behind the man’s arrest despite the evident shock on his face.

The incident occurred during lunch break as the children were outside washing their hands.

Four learners were injured in the collapse—two died on the spot, while the other two were rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital in critical condition and admitted for treatment.
