A family has been thrown into mourning following the gruesome death of their 16-year-old son.

The high school student, Gaea Chisenga, was reported missing on Monday, October 6, only to be found dead a week later.
How did Geah Chisenga disappear?
Chisenga had left home for Kabale Secondary School, where he was a Grade 10 student, but never arrived at the school and did not return home either.

His father, Emmanuel Chisenga, from Mpika District in Zambia, reported him missing the following day, Tuesday, October 7.
This was after the 38-year-old man confirmed with Chisenga’s school that he had failed to attend class.

The family and police launched a frantic search for him, making public appeals on social media and local radio stations within the province, but all proved futile.
Who found missing student’s body?
However, the news of his disappearance helped raise awareness, leading to a breakthrough when a concerned member of the public spotted a body floating in Lwitikila River.
The individual contacted the Chisenga’s devastated father, who rushed to the scene and sadly confirmed that the body was his son.
Police officers were called to the scene near Malambwa Bridge along the Mpika–Kasama Road on the morning of Friday, October 10.
The officers, assisted by the Fire Department from Mpika Town Council, retrieved the body and launched a full investigation to determine the teenager’s cause of death and those involved.
Authorities stated they would be treating Chisenga’s case as a suspected murder, noting that preliminary observations revealed signs of foul play.
What happened to Chisenga?
The 16-year-old boy’s face was swollen, he had burns on his back, and both hands were tied with a necktie.
Moreover, he was found without all his clothes, with his blue school shirt featuring small burn holes suspected to have been caused by a cigarette, while his shoes were dumped at the riverbank.
His body was moved to Mpika Urban Clinic Mortuary, pending a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of his death.
Muchinga Province Police Commissioner Denise Moola told Chete FM News that no arrests had been made.
He also promised that they would do their best to find those responsible for the young man’s gruesome death.
“We are requesting members of the public who may have any information concerning this case to come forward. Any tip, no matter how small, could be crucial in helping us bring those responsible to justice,” Commissioner Moola said.
What happened to missing Kawangware woman?
Previously, TUKO.co.ke reported that a mother from Kawangware, Nairobi, identified as Mary Akinyi, failed to return home from work.
Her children and family grew worried and launched a frantic search for her after hearing news of an accident that evening.
Despite holding onto hope that she was not among the victims of the fatal Waruku road accident, they found her body at Kenyatta National Hospital, leaving them in pain.
Mary died in a tragic accident where a public service vehicle fell into the Nairobi River.
