Raila was widely regarded as a key political figure who helped shape democracy in Kenya, leaving a legacy that will be remembered for generations.
He passed away at an Ayurvedic eye hospital research centre in Koothattukulam, Ernakulam district, Kerala, India, on Wednesday, October 15.
It has been reported that he was on a walk when he suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the facility.

How did Jalang’o mourn Raila Odinga?
Following his passing, many Kenyans took to social media to mourn the politician, struggling to come to terms with his sudden death.
One such figure is comedian-turned-politician, Lang’ata MP Jalang’o, alias Phelix Odiwour.
Jalang’o shared a black post on his social media in honour of the late politician.
He captioned it with an emotional song by Coster Ojwang titled Jowi, which means beloved in Luo.
