Nairobi – Mizani Africa has released its survey regarding the popularity rating of three Members of Parliament (MP) in Nairobi county.

The survey conducted between October 8 and 10 used telephonic interviews to gather views from 300 respondents in each constituency.

The research firm indicated that the survey has a +/-3 margin of error and a confidence level of 95%.

From the research findings, Kasarani MP Ronald Karauri would not be elected for a second term if elections were held today.

According to the findings, 48.1% will reject Karauri’s reelection, with only 42.6% supporting the SportPesa chief executive officer.

The data from the survey shows a majority of the residents are looking for stronger engagement and delivery from their lawmaker.

“Dissatisfaction appears to outweigh support in Kasarani, where 48.1% of voters reject re-election of the incumbent compared to 42.6% still backing him. The data points to a constituency looking for stronger engagement and delivery,” Mizani Africa said.

A Kenyan reacted to the survey results, saying, “Nikama huyu ameenda hivo.”

The same survey showed that Ruaraka MP Tom Kajwang will easily be reelected for another term after having an approval rating of 58.2%.

Will George Aladwa be reelected ifindings

Only 32.7% of Kasarani residents do not believe in the performance of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) lawmaker.

“Ruaraka’s voters remain largely confident in their current MP, with 58.2% expressing willingness to re-elect. However, a significant 32.7% prefer change, while 9.1% remain undecided, suggesting that voter engagement and performance visibility will be decisive ahead of 2027,” the research firm said.

Makadara MP George Aladwa also has a favourable rating, according to the survey released by Mizani Africa on Tuesday, October 28.

From the survey, 49.9% of Makadara residents would vote for Aladwa if elections were held today.

“Makadara’s re-election dynamics remain fluid, with support for the incumbent just under the halfway mark. A 49.9% re-election rating against 40.1% dissent points to a constituency keenly evaluating leadership performance,” the survey showed.

Will Gladys Wanga win in 2027?

In other news, Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi downplayed the chances of Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga being reelected in 2027.

Speaking on Obinna TV on Monday, October 27, Amisi suggested that several ODM elected leaders will lose in 2027 following the death of former prime minister Raila Amollo Odinga.

For Wanga, Amisi claimed she was previously depending on the name of Raila to win elections.

With the former ODM leader out of the picture, the Saboti lawmaker said Wanga cannot win any elective seat in 2027.
