First Daughter Charlene Ruto has visited Raila Odinga’s family and comforted them.

The former prime minister passed away while receiving treatment in India. He was accompanied with sister Ruth and daughter Winnie Odinga.
Winnie revealed that her father passed away during his morning workout routine and that he died in her arms.
Raila was laid to rest in Bondo, Siaya county and since then visitors have been flocking to K’ango Ka Jaramogi.

Ruto’s daughter Charlene also visited the Odinga family in photos that were shared on social media by Junior.

Charlene was seen holding hands with Ida Odinga in one of the photos, and in another, they stood next to a lion sculpture.
The sculpture surrounded by white and red flowers in the family mausoleum reminds Kenyans and visitors of the Odinga’s legacy, which is marked by bravery and strength.
In a different picture, Charlene was seen walking around the grounds with the Odinga family.
She also laid wreaths on Raila’s grave, as Mama Ida and Junior watched.

Junior also reiterated that the grounds were open to all visitors, and he captioned the post:
“Thank you so much for coming to K’ango Ka Jaramogi everyone is welcome.”
Kenyans lauded Charlene for taking time to visit the politician’s grieving family.
Charlene had penned a touching message on social media on the politician’s burial.
Kenyans expected her to attend the burial, but she was unable to due to personal reasons.
She wrote:
“Mashujaa Day this year finds us in a very sensitive and emotional state, causing us, as young people, to reflect on whether we have the strength, courage, and resilience to step up and take our country to the next level. May we remember the meaning of our flag, the weight of the words of our National Anthem, and be the torchbearers of progress for Kenya.”
