Kinale, Kiambu: Family and friends of a young boy identified as Sam are sadly engulfed in grief after the boy, who went missing, was found in a maize plantation.

According to Mercy Nungari, Sam was sent to a nearby shop to buy unga on Wednesday, October 29, but he never made it back home.

“So, there has been a man who has been seducing the mother, but the mother was not responding, so the man timed the boy, and the rest was history,” she said.

“The mother waited for her son to come back in vain. What followed was a long search by the villagers the whole of yesterday. Sadly, Sam was found in a nearby maize plantation, brutally murdered. Later in the evening, the man surrendered himself to the police,” she added.
