Known for his unwavering support of Raila, Jalamo has previously released songs praising the late politician.
Two weeks after Raila was laid to rest at the family mausoleum, Kang’o ka Jaramogi in Bondo, Jalamo took to the stage at a tribute show organised at Benelix Lounge, a popular joint in Greenspan Mall.
During his performance, Jalamo revisited a song he had released in 2015 in praise of Raila, twisting the lyrics to reflect the memories and admiration he had for the fallen leader.
Emotions ran high as he delivered the heartfelt lines, with tears streaming down his face.
At one point, he was so overwhelmed by grief that he could no longer continue and had to be supported off the stage.
Following the performance, Jalamo shared a video from the tribute on social media, explaining why he was overwhelmed by emotion.
“Go well, Raila Amollo Odinga. It hasn’t been easy to accept that you are gone. Your voice, your courage and your love will forever live in our hearts. As I performed this song, emotions overwhelmed me. I couldn’t hold my tears because legends like you don’t die, they live on through the people they inspired. Rest in peace, Agwambo. Thank you for the sacrifice, the hope, and the vision you gave to generations. You will never be forgotten.”

Did Jalang’o visit Raila’s grave?
In related news, TUKO.co.ke reported that Lang’ata MP Jalang’o led a delegation from his constituency to visit Raila’s gravesite.
The politician was visibly emotional, even holding onto the cross for a moment as he struggled to come to terms with Raila’s passing.
He was later seen consoling Ida Odinga and presenting her with bulls in a signature gesture.
