Comedian turned activist Eric Omondi once again became the talk of town after joining members of the Legio Maria church for a service in full traditional attire.

Unlike previous instances where he was spotted donning the signature white robes while creating content, this time, Eric stepped out to worship with them.
Is Eric Omondi a Legio Maria faithful?
Taking to his social media pages, the comedian shared a video documenting his visit to the Legio Maria church Harambee in Tasia, along Kangundo Road.
Upon arrival, he was warmly received by congregants who helped him into their sacred white gown to fully blend in before the service began.
According to Eric, he had been invited as the chief guest by the church’s lead preacher.
The comedian was treated with honour throughout the service, seated at a special table filled with snacks, water, and soft drinks.
When given a chance to address the congregation, the comedian led the worshippers in song before making a generous announcement.
“When the preacher invited me, I knew I had to come. I have brought the church KSh 100,000. May God bless you. When we spoke on the phone, I said this little that I have brought is just the beginning,” he said.
Eric went on to reveal his larger vision for the church, noting that the faithful were currently worshipping in a tent.
“I don’t think buying land costs KSh 100,000, and I also don’t think what the area MCA has donated will be enough. But this is just to signify that the journey has started. We will buy land and build a dignified place of worship,” he added.
The video also captured a touching moment where Eric knelt with a lit candle as the preacher prayed and spoke blessings over him.
Shortly after, a pickup truck arrived at the church carrying several bags of cement, which were later offloaded before everyone gathered for a group photo.

In other news, Eric recently launched a campaign dubbed Peperusha to motivate Gen Zs to get their ID cards before the 2027 elections.
He shared clips of young people showing off their IDs, urging them to take part in choosing the country’s leaders.
