How Maricus Owino disappeared

In a missing person’s post on Facebook, Achieng disclosed that her husband sustained a head injury in the incident that occurred near Kisumu Boys Gate, next to Aga Khan Hospital.

Good Samaritans rushed him to Kisumu County Referral Hospital at around 6:37 pm., but he reportedly did not receive medical attention after an argument ensued between the hospital staff and those who brought him in.

The acquaintances later contacted the family, saying Maricus had requested to be taken to Aga Khan Hospital instead.

However, instead of proceeding there, they reportedly placed him in a Kibos Route 7-11 matatu and instructed the conductor to drop him off at Kamakaa Stage along Kibos Road.

He never arrived home and has not been seen since.
