A photo of the late former prime minister Raila Odinga’s wife Ida and their three kids sitting in quiet reflection has emerged, moving netizens.

Raila died in India on October 15, sending the nation into mourning and uncertainty over the political profile he had built in this country.

President William Ruto officially announced the death and directed a seven-day mourning period. He also directed that the opposition leader be granted a state funeral.

The then ODM party leader had also left behind a will which required that he should be buried within three days after his demise.

He was buried on October 19 at Kang’o Ka Jaramogi with thousands flocking the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) for the service.

What did Raila Odinga’s family do?

At his graveyard, only close friends and family were allowed to lay wreaths and give their final goodbyes.

Since his burial, hundreds have been visiting Kang’o Ka Jaramogi, with Raila’s sister recently claiming that it is the most visited grave in the world.

A photo has since emerged of Raila’s family sitting in their compound in a sombre mood.

Ida was in an African print as she sat in the middle between her daughter Rose and Winnie. Her lastborn was in an all black outfit, while her eldest wore a long silk dress and matched it with a headgear.

Junior, who was seated on the far right, wore blue denim jeans and a light blue shirt.

This photo emerged days after Raila’s son was installed as the new head of the family and welcomed everyone to visit his father’s grave.

Elsewhere, Winnie made a comeback on TikTok after questions of her whereabouts emerged on social media.

There were concerns on whether she would be coming back to continue in her father’s shoes despite her subtle message to Ruto during her father’s burial.

In her comeback video, Winnie recorded herself enjoying boxing at home and hinted that she has been preparing herself.

Some netizens were excited to see her back online while others urged her to keep up with her father’s work.

She worked closely with Raila and she was among the people who were with him in India before he died.
