Bayo succumbed to cancer on November 10 while undergoing treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
The 11 Hour gospel singer had been hospitalised at the hospital for two weeks before she breathed her last.

Bayo’s lifeless body, covered with a white bedsheet, was removed from the ambulance, then put on a stretcher and wheeled to the morgue.
Family and friends who had accompanied the body were heard wailing in the background as the doors with a sign staff only closed, leaving them outside. No one apart from authorised people were allowed inside.
The video of the emotional moment went viral, leaving fans heartbroken.

Kanyari, the father of Bayo’s children, was spotted weeping uncontrollably at the KU morgue in Nairobi county. Seated in a lounge with other family members, Kanyari could be heard mentioning his children’s names as he mourned Bayo.
The city preacher was seen being comforted by his PA, but he was inconsolable.
“It’s true she is gone,” he shared a video from the morgue with broken-hearted emojis.

Who is Betty Bayo’s husband?
In another story, TUKO.co.ke shared that Bayo was legally married to Hiram Gitau, alias Tash. The lovebirds got married in a colourful traditional wedding on December 17, 2021.
Bayo moved on with Hiram six years after divorcing Kanyari, and she always pampered her husband with love, thanking him for accepting her and her children.
On November 10, after Bayo’s death was confirmed, Hiram was spotted crying uncontrollably as a female relative comforted him.
