Betty passed away on November 10, with her family revealing that she succumbed to leukaemia, a condition that had taken a toll on her health in her final days.
She left behind two children, Danivictor and Sky Victor, whom she shared with her ex-husband, Pastor Victor Kanyari.
What plans did Betty Bayo have for Sky?
The singer shared a close bond with her daughter Sky, often capturing heartwarming mother-daughter moments on YouTube and social media.
Weeks before her passing, Betty had visited her close friend Sarah Mtalii at her tours and travel agency.
From videos she had shared on the singer’s TikTok, the visit was meant to discuss a vacation trip for her and Danivictor.
However, according to Sarah, they also made plans for Sky’s future.
“She wanted Sky to become a global citizen, and that is why she wanted her to go to places like Cambridge University summer camp and next year the summer camp at Harvard University. We had so many plans on how we would make our kids better than who we are. There is a museum she was talking about that is so good for children,” Sarah told the media after Betty’s death
Sarah also revealed that she intends to fulfil the late singer’s vision for her daughter.
“My pledge to Sky is that I will support her with all the dreams that her mum had and ensure that she achieves all those dreams. Poleni sana to the family and all of Betty’s friends,” she said.

Sarah also shared how Betty was one of her strongest pillars, especially during difficult moments in her own marriage.
“She stood by me especially last year. We had big dreams with her to tour the world and to do many things in terms of investments. It was God’s will, and I pray that the dreams she had for her daughter will come true,” she expressed.
