The French Embassy in Nairobi has invited Kenyan youths to apply for 170 positions to teach English in public schools across France and its overseas departments.
The programme, which is run through France Éducation International and facilitated by the French Embassy in Nairobi, offers successful applicants a seven-month teaching contract.

This will give them the opportunity to work with students of different age groups while gaining international experience.
When is the application deadline?
According to the announcement, the application window runs from November 15, 2025, to January 15, 2026, which will be followed by a structured recruitment process.
File pre-selection will take place in January 2026, interviews will run from January to February, results will be issued in May, and final placement assignments will be announced in June.
The embassy encouraged interested candidates to join the official Kenyan WhatsApp group for updates and access to important resources.
Who is eligible?
Applicants must meet several eligibility criteria. They must be Kenyan citizens aged between 20 and 35, have completed most of their studies in Kenya, and be enrolled in a university, TVET institution, college, or Alliance Française at the time of application.
Candidates from all academic backgrounds are welcome, provided they have completed at least two years of post-secondary education.
They must also have a minimum B1 proficiency level in French, and present an accredited evaluation of their language skills.
To guide prospective applicants, the embassy will hold an information webinar on Monday, November 17 at 5 PM, offering details about the programme, application procedures, and life in France as an assistant.
Additionally, the International Day of Language Assistants and the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the programme will take place on December 4, 2025, at Alliance Française Nairobi.
This event gives attendees a chance to learn more about conditions of stay, professional prospects, and the broader French-speaking community.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted on the ADELE platform. Candidates are required to enter their official names exactly as they appear on their passports.
A detailed tutorial is available on the France Éducation International website to help applicants navigate the portal.
The initiative is part of France’s long-standing linguistic cooperation with Kenya and continues to attract growing interest among young professionals seeking global exposure and teaching experience.
Industrial attachment opportunities for Kenyans

Applicants must be full-time continuing students in recognised institutions, possess a valid introduction letter, maintain personal accident cover, and meet course-specific requirements, especially for technical craft certificate programmes.
