Eldoret, Kenya: Felix Kimurgor, a young man from Nandi, has shocked Kenyans with his determination to join the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).

Kimurgor has been camping outside the RTS Eldoret since November 11, trying to find a way to join the training camp along with the recruits.

“He is still appealing to anyone capable of making his dream come true to step forward and help him,” said Alfred Koech, sergeant.

“This is true passion; our leaders, please look into the matter and do something,” he added. Alfred opined that there is seeking and then there is passion, and the man was passionate.

“I hope he gets it,” he said.

Man joins army after 23 years of trying

In another story, Michael Cheruiyot finally got the chance to join the KDF after a recruitment drive. The 36-year-old has been striving to join the army dating back to 2011, but all had been in vain until recently.
