A memorial service was held in honour of the late gospel singer Betty Bayo on Sunday, November 16, at CFF Church.

The singer passed away on Monday, November 10, at Kenyatta National Hospital, where she had been receiving treatment after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia.
According to her family and those close to her, she had become very weak in her final days as the illness had taken a heavy toll on her.
How did Pastor Kanyari eulogise Betty Bayo?
Emotions ran high during the service as her ex-husband, Pastor Victor Kanyari, took to the stage to pay tribute to Betty.
The preacher could not hide his emotions as he eulogised her as a role model and devoted mother to their children, Sky Victor and Danivictor.
Fighting back tears, he recalled their time together before they separated.
“Today I honour and remember Mama Sky, the mother of our children, a woman whose presence shaped not only their lives but mine as well. We shared many moments together, some joyful, some challenging, but all were meaningful. She was a woman of kindness, calm, and strength, whose love for her children never wavered,” he said.
The heartbroken preacher added:
“Our journey had its own challenges, yet it also blessed us with beautiful memories, moments of laughter, and seasons of life that shaped who we are today. These memories will always remain special and part of my heart. They will always remind me of the good that we once shared.
He also lauded the late singer for being a good mother to their kids, saying:
“Above everything, Betty was a devoted mother. Her care, warmth, and unwavering commitment to Sky and Dani are a gift that they will carry with them throughout their lives. Thank you for being a good mother, thank you for the memories. May your soul rest in eternal peace. Your love will continue to shine through our children today and forever.”

What are the burial plans for Betty Bayo?
TUKO.co.ke earlier reported that the burial committee announced the late gospel singer will be laid to rest at her home in Mugumo Estate along Kiambu Road.
Her final burial rites are scheduled for Thursday, November 19. The committee also revealed that the budget for the burial was set at KSh 5 million.

Additionally, Pastor Kanyari announced that there will be a candlelighting ceremony at his church, Salvation Healing Ministries near Kayole Junction, on Monday, November 17, from 2:00 pm.
He encouraged his followers and church members to turn out in large numbers to support him as he mourns the mother of his children.
