Kenyans react to Malot’s newfound wealth
Many opined that raking in such an amount of money has the potential to leave any 20-year-old confused, so remaining grounded is a noble thing for him.
Some whispered in awe that the young MC is now wealthier than a number of his lecturers, an amusing but powerful reminder of how talent and opportunity can transform a life overnight.
“Discipline is in his blood,” Nick Koech Tinget joked. “Most people would already be in Mombasa eating life with a big spoon!”
Paul Kipruto
“Discipline is key,but once in a while he can look into the welfare of any part-time lecturer who happens to be teaching him.”
John Ouma
“He knows what brought him to school. He must graduate with first-class honours, I guess. But don’t ask me why.”
Jasper Ezekiel
“Unaenda shule unalipa pesa ndio upate pesa nyingi in future. Sasa yeye ameshapata pesa nyingi, why can’t he invest?”
For Malot, fame and fortune seem secondary. He remains focused on completing his studies while nurturing the gift that has placed him among the region’s most sought-after young entertainers.
