Late gospel singer Betty Bayo’s children, Dani and Sky Victor, are among the Kenyans paying tribute to her remarkable career by listening to and celebrating some of her top-charting hits.

Betty Bayo, who emerged as a household name in the gospel industry, died prematurely on November 10, 2025, following a brief battle with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).
In a recent video shared by Bayo’s best friend, Shiro Stuart, she joined the late singer’s children in enjoying her songs.
The video captured the children getting excited as gospel singer Mr Seed demonstrated how to dance to “Ngai ti Mundu,” the song that won them the Groove Award.
What did Betty Bayo’s kids do?
The children joyfully sang every word of the Kikuyu hit before switching to Betty’s 2013 release, Experiment.
In the clips, Betty’s daughter Sky is dressed in a dera, and she danced from the front as Shiru’s son Maina and showed them some Amapiano moves.
According to Shiro, this dance moment took place while guests gathered outside during the burial planning meeting held at Betty’s home on Monday, November 17.
She expressed delight at witnessing how deeply Betty’s children and friends cherish her songs, stating they are sincerely her number one fans.
“As the burial meeting proceeded outside, we decided to have some therapy with Betty’s music. Her children remain the foremost fans of Betty Bayo’s songs,” she wrote on her Facebook page.

What did Bayo’s husband say about kids?
In a different report, Bayo’s husband, Hiram Gitau alias Tash, recently shared a moving tribute during the late singer’s memorial ceremony.
He noted how their love story had an impact on him and asked for prayers as he navigated the huge loss.
Tash also vowed to continue taking care of Bayo’s children, whom she had with Pastor Kanyari, amid an ongoing custody battle.
