During the confrontation, Salma defended her husband and stopped one of Sonko’s bodyguards from retaliating.

Sonko later took Salma home and accompanied her to Nairobi Women’s Hospital for a medical evaluation.

Before her father intervened, an emotional Salma called her mother, and the conversation was later leaked online.

“Mum, I am not good. Are you free today to come for me?” a tearful Salma said.

Primrose then asked what was wrong, and Salma spilt the beans.

“I just asked for breakfast and I was slapped twice,” Salma said.

Primrose criticised the action, noting that it was wrong.

“I didn’t have money. I told him that the kids were hungry,” she said.

Salma then asked her mother whether she would come to pick her up, and Primrose agreed.

In other news, YouTuber Oga Obinna praised Sonko for maintaining calm during his confrontation with his son-in-law.

He admitted that, in a similar situation involving his own daughter, he would have struggled to show the same level of restraint.

Obinna noted that he might have reacted aggressively rather than handling the matter peacefully.

He emphasised that, although he considered himself a peacemaker, he believed his emotions would have taken over if his child had been harmed.
