Adding to the moment was her widower, Hiram Gitau, who arrived dressed in a colour-coordinated outfit that matched the casket.

It was symbolic for Hiram to wear green, matching his wife’s casket, according to a close source. The source revealed that it was out of love for him to colour coordinate with her casket.

Several dignitaries and Kenyan celebrities attended the burial ceremony, including Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Karen Nyamu, MP Eric Wamumbi and Murang’a Woman Representative Betty Maina, among others.

Celebrities at the wedding were Karangu Muraya, businesswoman Wanja Nyarari, DJ MO, Muthoni Wa Kirumba aka Baby Top.

The musician passed away while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).

She had been sickly for two weeks before she succumbed to blood cancer.
