The late gospel singer was given a heroic send-off on Thursday, November 20, at a function attended by thousands.
Numerous Kenyans pledged to support her children, with President William Ruto and his Deputy President, Kithure Kindiki, contributing KSh 10 million.
There was speculation over the children’s custody after their mother’s burial, with Kanyari keen on proving that he has been providing for them.
Where was Kanyari spotted with his kids?
Kanyari shared screenshots revealing multiple requests from Betty Bayo for money to cover their children’s needs.
One screenshot showed Betty asking for funds for their daughter’s medical bills and their son’s school fees.
In another, she requested KSh 40,000 and KSh 20,000 for a UK visa, along with a poster for a summer camp their daughter was to attend in the UK, which cost over KSh 450,000.
But it seems the custody matter has been settled.
On Friday, November 21, Kanyari and his children jubilantly showed up in Kamatuto in Njiru. A video posted on his page showed the family sitting on the sunroof of his Toyota Land Cruiser.
“Simba, Kanyari!” the residents, accompanied by members of his church, jubilantly sang while dancing around the vehicle.
Sky, next to him, clapped her hands and danced along to the music, as her younger brother followed suit.
Ahead of their SUV was a crusade truck, indicating that the preacher was either headed for a meeting or publicising his church.
Kanyari proudly sat on the vehicle while waving to the large crowd surrounding it.

Sky, aged 13, was likely in Year 7, with an annual fee of approximately KSh 1,185,000.
Danny, aged 9, probably attended Year 2, with annual fees of KSh 792,000.
Additional charges for co-curricular activities, emergency medical cover, and other services brought their total yearly fees to around KSh 2,107,000.
