Bayo succumbed to leukaemia on November 10 and was buried at her Mugumo Estate home on November 20, with her funeral attracting politicians, fans and friends from all over.
There has also been an ongoing rumour that her husband, Hiram Gitau alias Tash and her ex, Kanyari are fighting for custody of Betty’s two children.
Some have claimed that the two kids should stick with Tash because they seem ‘closer’ to him, while others have maintained that the kids should live with their biological father.
Kanyari has been sharing screenshots displaying how many times Betty asked him for money to take care of the children’s needs.
What did Betty Bayo ask Kanyari in leaked chat?
One of the screenshots showed Betty explaining that their daughter needed money for medical expenses while their son needed KSh 8000 for school fees.
In his latest screenshot, Betty was asking for KSh 40,000 and KSh 20,000 ($350 and $150) for a UK visa.
She also attached a poster showing a UK summer camp that their daughter was to attend in the UK, which cost over 450,000.
“Total cost in pounds. This is urgent. Ticket in June.” Read the screenshot.
Betty also acknowledged that she received the money.
In the shared chat, she also texted her ex-husband on May 24, asking Kanyari for documents that their daughter will need before she travels to the UK.
“I need these two documents urgently for Sky’s UK visit. Your passport photo and 6 months’ bank statement,” she said.
In all these, Kanyari did not respond to her messages.

Who should have kids’ custody?
Advocate Edwin Omulama told TUKO.co.ke who between the two men could have the kids now that the singer was dead.
“In matters of child custody, biology is everything. The biological father wins all the time. Kanyari doesn’t need to do all these things,” he said.
Netizens react to Kanyari’s screenshot
Kenyans have called him out and asked him to stop exposing conversations he had with his wife and instead go to court if he is trying to prove he was a present father.

Did Kanyari talk about his kids?
Elsewhere, the man of God was secretly recorded discussing that he is hopeful he will have custody of his children.
In the audio, Kanyari kept saying how the other person, who many have claimed to be Tash was creating issues.
His sentiments sparked mixed reactions even as Kenyans are waiting to see if they will co-parent or if Tash will take the kids to their biological father.
