3. What was Sonia Nzilani’s education background?
According to her LinkedIn, apart from holding a county office, she was a former lecturer and Head of the Department of Hydrology and Aquatic Sciences at SEKU, Kenya.
She held a Ph.D. in Natural Resources and Life Sciences from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Austria.
She received her two Masters degrees in Water and Coastal Management and Environmental Assessment and Management from Cadiz University in Spain, and the University of Bologna (Italy), respectively.
Her undergraduate degree was in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences from Moi University in Kenya.
Nzilani was beauty and brains.

She went viral in January after she angered Kenyans with her remarks as she linked a crocodile attack to menstruation.
The doctor claimed that period smell attracted crocodiles, which prompted criticism on social media of her qualifications to hold office.
Kenyans labelled her insensitive, and the Makueni county government apologised and distanced itself from her remarks.

Nzilani looked like she was on a mission to plant several trees for the good of the environment.

What happened to Betty Bayo?
In other news, gospel musician Betty Bayo passed away after a short illness.
She was diagnosed with blood cancer in its last stages.
Bayo was laid to rest in Kiambu county.
