Held under heavy skies and heavier hearts, the ceremony brought together hundreds who came to bid farewell to Mr Justus Wambua Kavyu, his wife Mrs Tabitha Kathini, and their daughter, Stacey Kiluti.
The ceremony was deeply emotional from the moment the three caskets, two white and one brown, were lowered gently to the ground.
Placed side by side, they symbolised the bond the family shared in life and the heartbreaking reality that they left the world together.

How the Kavyus died
In 2023, Justus Kavyu and his wife lost their daughter through a short illness, a loss that left them struggling with the pain.
The man refused to continue residing in his home at Saika arguing that he didn’t have the energy to leave the buried daughter alone at their home village.
During a recent visit to his wife and daughter in Saika, he stumbled on their lifeless bodies, each in their bedroom, which led to his death shortly after.
