What happened to Brian Kiplimo?
“He wasn’t going far the destination was only about 2.5 kilometres away. I typed in his location, and he told me we should get going. We set off, and even before covering 500 metres, he moved to the seat behind me,” he explained.
In his mind, the passenger was probably just seeking a more comfortable seat, so Kiplimo thought little of it until the passenger began acting strangely.
“A few seconds later, he started touching me inappropriately. I asked him to stop and let me drive. At that point, I started swerving the car to the side, and before I knew it, he began strangling me,” Kiplimo said.
The 26-year-old driver managed to press the car horn repeatedly, hoping to alert those around him that something was wrong as he struggled to break free from the man’s grip.
The car eventually hit the pavement and came to a stop. A distressed Kiplimo said that a man on a motorbike, who had sensed something was wrong, approached them and moved closer to the car.

Why does Kiplimo want to return to Kenya?
TUKO.co.ke reported that the 26-year-old man appealed for help from the Kenyan government to return to the country.
He shared that his employer had refused to return his passport, noting that if he escaped, he would be considered a runaway employee, which is a crime in Dubai.
He also mentioned that his health was deteriorating and that he feared for his safety, adding that his employer wanted him to pay before his passport would be handed back to him.
