The same thing happened after water was boiled for the young boy to take a bath, but they never came for it. Eventually, the two locked the door to the secluded house and left.
How did Victor Kimani’s family discover him?
When there was nothing but silence in the room, Kimani’s mother became suspicious, and she went to check on her boy.
“I called out, but there was no sound from the other side of the door, so I asked people to help me break the door, and we found him lying dead on the bed,” she said.

What were Victor Kimani’s autopsy results?
The body of the young boy was taken for a post-mortem, and it emerged that the boy had been badly assaulted and was hurt on the legs, arms, and other parts of the body.
“The boy had undergone circumcision; instead of his caregivers giving him special attention, they tortured him until he died,” said his mother.
“We were told that he had been cut up; he had been beaten all over his legs and also had marks and bruises on the elbows that showed he had been defending himself. It also showed that food had been forced into his airways in the chest,” she added.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Mzee John Thuo said that in the past, the work of taking care of initiates was done by loving uncles, and they always did a good job.
“One had to approach his uncle and ask for permission to go and get circumcised, and they were not required to come empty-handed; they had to bring a gift along,” he said.
“Afterwards, the uncle would take care of the boy until he was ready to join the rest of the family; that would be done alongside imparting wisdom and culture, as the men were the custodians of culture, like in many other communities, he added.
Thuo was saddened by what happened and said heavy consequences should befall the men who carried out the heinous acts leading to the crime.

Pain as Narok boy dies after circumcision
In a previous story, there was sadness when Emmanuel Kipyegon died only a few days after being taken for a traditional circumcision procedure in Narok county.
The incident left his family grief-stricken, and many called for medical screening before boys can go for circumcision to prevent a recurrence of Kipyegon’s case.
TUKO.co.ke spoke to Kephers Njoga, a healthcare professional, and he shed light on what may have caused the young man to die.
