A young couple has ignited reactions on social media after revealing how she and her husband split the bills, and what percentage she financially contributes to the household.

In their joint account, Joe and Bri became candid about how they divide financial responsibilities, with the young woman saying she does not mind chipping in to help her husband.
On their TikTok account, Bri said her husband pays for the rent and travel expenses on his own, while they split the phone bills, beauty expenses, shopping and outing expenses.
For the phone and beauty expenses, she contributes 40% of the total payments while her husband does the remaining 60%.
For outings and shopping, she chips in with 30% of her income, with her hubby covering the rest.
“With no complaints 👐 For we believe that my money is our money and her money is our money too, there is no division when it comes to money or anything that pertains to our relationship, so as a man, I do what Christ expects of me, and she also plays her part the way she has to. We are not perfect, but we do our best,” they captioned the post.
Should couples split bills 50-50?
Their post sparked mixed reactions, with a section of women opining that Brie should let the man provide fully to the household.
However, others praised the young couple for being open and financially trusting each other.
