Much of the discussion centred on her relationship with Hiram Gitau, alias Tash, with whom she lived in Edenville Estate alongside the kids.
The children had formed a close bond with Tash, and Betty had previously revealed that Danivictor played a key role in the early stages of their romance. Sky also boasted about having two dads.
Betty’s mother, who resides in the United States, was also mentioned as a potential guardian.
Throughout this period, Kanyari publicly expressed his desire to take custody of his children.
The preacher even claimed that he had made plans to secure a KSh 90 million mansion in Runda to move in with them.
Kanyari also shared private WhatsApp chats between himself and Betty over the years, showing that they maintained a peaceful co-parenting relationship despite their separation.
The chats also revealed that he consistently supported the children, including paying for their education at a prestigious institution.

What did Kanyari say about taking custody of his kids?
As speculation continues and social media commentators weigh in, Kanyari has reiterated his desire to take in his children.
During a fiery sermon at his Salvation Healing Ministries Church on November 30, he questioned why people have been opposed to his plans and why the topic had become so contentious.
He compared his situation to that of the late Mugithi singer John DeMathew, noting that after DeMathew’s passing, the custody of his children did not become a major discussion.
“Did DeMathew not have kids? Why did they not want to take his kids but want to take those of Pastor Kanyari? Let me not say much because I know that I am going to trend,” he said, while also making allegations about DeMathew’s family.

The preacher’s comments sparked intense debate on social media, with netizens sharing a variety of opinions about the custody issue.
Here are some of their comments:
Joy Joy:
“One thing people are forgetting is that Kanyari can’t force those kids to stay with him. I’m sure that if the kids chose to stay with their biological father, there’s nothing Tash could do about it. In my opinion, the kids chose Tash, and Kanyari had to accept it.”
Reckittah Nimz:
“In reality imagine your kids with a step dad and stepmom because Tash will still marry he ain’t that old.”
Oyieyo Moko:
“Sometimes you let kids learn to know differentiate the real and genuine love of biological parents from step parents through learning the hard way for them to now have the right option for them.”
Joshua Bartonyi Rutto:
“The custody of the children will take another turn when Tasha remarries, let give it time.”
