A family from Taita Taveta has been left in pain after a hearse that was transporting mourners and two bodies for their burials was involved in an accident.

The accident occurred at Wundanyi as the family and friends were heading to Taita-Mbale from Jomvu in Mombasa, ready for the burials of the deceased, a father and son.
Details shared by a family member on Facebook show that the father and son died after suffering an electric shock, and the family has now been forced to postpone the burial following the Friday, November 28, road crash.
The accident occurred when the van from a funeral home rolled over at the Wundanyi bridge, reportedly because of az brake failure.
A number of the mourners suffered minor injuries and were rushed to the hospital after being rescued from the carnage.
