Funeral arrangements for Festus Amimo are underway, with official mourning ceremonies commencing today, Wednesday, December 10, at his village home in Awasi, Kisumu County, in accordance with Luo customs.

Amimo’s widow travelled to the village to make the official announcement (tero ywak) at his village home. The tradition dictates that the spouse should open the gate and cry out as others join in.
“She travelled from Nairobi to their village home in Awasi on Wednesday, December 10, to mark the commencement of official mourning at his home. Other relatives joined her,” a source shared with TUKO.co.ke.
