Jirongo passed away on Saturday, December 13, in a tragic road accident along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway at around 2 a.m.

Rumours quickly emerged that he had allegedly been in the company of a woman on the night of the crash and had just dropped them off before the accident occurred.

Social media speculation also linked the vehicle involved, a white Mercedes-Benz E350, to Liz, as she had previously flaunted a similar car online.

Was Liz Jackson involved with Cyrus Jirongo?

TUKO.co.ke reached out to Liz for clarification on whether the vehicle involved in the accident belonged to her, but she declined to give a definitive response.

However, during a live phone interview with Milele FM’s Ankali Ray, Liz eventually responded, putting an end to the speculation.

“I do not think there is anyone who is happy when someone else loses their life. That’s how I feel being linked with such claims, but it’s okay. Mnikome tu (let me be),” she said, choosing not to confirm or deny whether the car was hers or if she was involved with the late MP.

Jackson’s statement made it clear that she wanted the public to leave her alone regarding the rumours, ending the ongoing debate over her involvement.
